Studio Rental Available 

• There is one associate artist space available in Studio #11. This is a shared studio in a 300 square foot room, with a total of 6 artists. Rental includes 24-hour access, access to electric and gas kilns, and use of other studio and classroom equipment such as a slab roller, extruders and spray booth. Mudflat provides one shelving unit for each Associate Artist and there is 1 pottery wheel and 1 common table to be shared. No kilns may be installed in studio. Monthly rent is $265.00.

• Rent does not include clay, glazes or firings, but clay, glazes and firings may be purchased through Mudflat at additional cost. Associate artists are not required to fire their own work; work can be fired in Mudflat’s student kilns. Artists are eligible to enroll in a training and authorization process for firing Mudflat kilns.

• Mudflat is a community studio and all studio artists are required to participate in Mudflat sponsored events and fundraising activities, including Mudflat’s Open Studio and Pottery Sale, held in May and December each year. Teaching opportunities are available.

• Applications will be reviewed by a committee. Applicants who are already present in the Mudflat community will be given preference for Associate Artist studios. Review criteria will include applicant’s level of professionalism and quality of clay work, ability to work independently, and enthusiasm for participation in a community ceramic studio.
