About our Ceramic Technical Internships

Our summer interns will be involved in all technical aspects of a working clay studio and school, including studio maintenance, clay recycling, slip and glaze mixing, loading and unloading electric and gas kilns. Electric and gas kiln firing is possible based on experience. Although interns receive unlimited studio access for claywork exploration, the internship's primary focus is not on providing instruction in building and throwing techniques. All training is provided by Mudflat’s technical staff.
