Sculpting Animals, Mondays, 10 am - 1 pm

Animals have been inspiring artists for millennia. In this class you will learn to capture the likeness of animals of your choice to adorn your functional pieces or to create sculpture. We will explore building solid and hollowing out, working with coils, slabs, pinch pots and templates, as well as creating textures and finishes. Suitable for beginners to advanced students. Bring your sense of humor and adventure! All semester long classes come with access to lab hours and your first 25 lb bag of clay. Personal clay tools are not provided, but can be purchased at Mudflat.
