About the Event

This 3-part workshop series is for wheel throwers looking to learn the basics of handbuilding to grow their practice. Come to just one or join for all three!

Part 2: Slab building with molds 

Learn how to make irregular shaped platters using wheelthrowing and handbuilding techniques! In this workshop, students will learn two techniques for creating molds and how to use slabs to create forms using these molds. For the handbuilding mold, bring a small plastic, metal or ceramic dish that has a form you would like to recreate using clay. This workshop is for currently enrolled students. All levels are welcome.
