About the Event

This 3-part workshop series is for wheel throwers looking to learn the basics of handbuilding to grow their practice. Come to just one or join for all three!

Part 3: Pinch Pot Basics

Learn the basics of creating pinch pots and ways you can add them to your thrown works. From adding feet to a dish to creating decorative elements, pinch pots are a fun way to add visual interest to your wheel work. Students will learn how to create, smooth, and attach pinch pots to a wheel thrown piece. If bringing a thrown pot, clay should be leather hard in order to add to it! This workshop is for currently enrolled Mudflat students. All levels are welcome.
