Handbuilding Basics for Wheelthrowers: Coils

This 3-part workshop series is for wheel throwers looking to learn the basics of handbuilding to grow their practice. Come to just one or join for all three!

Part 1: Coils

Adding coils to your thrown pots can be a fun way to add height, alter forms and perhaps add texture to your pieces. In this hands-on workshop, students will learn how to roll out and build using coils to create a brand new piece or to add height to an existing thrown pot. If you bring a thrown pot to add to, it should be leather hard. This workshop is for currently enrolled Mudflat students. All levels are welcome!
