4-Week Intro to Wheelthrowing: Session 1

Perfect for beginners who are new to both pottery and Mudflat! Learn essential wheel throwing techniques to create functional pottery pieces. Through hands-on instruction, you'll master fundamental skills including wedging clay, centering on the wheel, and shaping basic forms like cups and bowls. The course also covers trimming finished pieces and applying glazes.

Classes meet once per week for four weeks, (3 hours per class) with no additional lab time. All clay, tools, and materials are included.

• Attendance Policy: Since each class builds on the previous one, attendance at all four sessions is required to complete the program. Makeup classes/time outside of class are not available. If a student misses class 3 or 4 ( trimming/glazing) the instructor will trim or glaze the student's work in their absence.
