Come and join us at Mudflat this August for our clay classes! For beginners we are offering 6 different sections of Intro to Wheelthrowing. If you're a current or past Mudflat student, you can choose from our independent study, affiliated, or August Access class options.

Intro to Wheelthrowing for NEW to Mudflat Clay Beginners!
August 4-28, 2025

Have you always wanted to learn how to throw on the pottery wheel? This 4 week class is the perfect start to your clay journey! Classes below meet once per week for 3 hours per class. Classes will cover throwing, trimming and glazing. All materials are provided.

Morning Class Options:

Mondays, 10 am - 1 pm with Bob Herman
Wednesdays, 10 am - 1 pm with Deb Minns

Evening Class Options:

Mondays, 6:30-9:30 pm wit Sanem Gray
Tuesdays, 6:30-9:30 pm with Jesse Dougherty
Wednesdays, 6:30-9:30 pm with Eliane Medina
Thursdays, 6:30-9:30 pm with Lisa Knebel

Options for current/previously enrolled Mudflat Students

We are providing opportunities for independent work during the August semester for both current and past students who wish to continue their clay work or start a new project, These options include 25 lbs. of clay and open lab hours. Please see the August semester options listed below.

Mondays: 10 am - 9:30 pm

Tuesdays: 6 - 9:30 pm

Wednesdays: 10 am - 9:30 pm

Thursdays: 6 - 9:30 pm

Fridays: CLOSED

Saturdays: 10 am - 4 pm

Sundays: CLOSED

Tuition: $300, Subscriber tuition: $270
