Visiting Artist Workshop: Brenda Quinn
New York artist Brenda Quinn will present her techniques for working in clay in this 2-day workshop. She will demonstrate a variety of wheelthrown and altered forms that she produces in her own line of functional ware and she will present decoration surface treatments. Brenda also uses hump molds for creating her work and she will show students how to make and use a shell hump mold.
Brenda received her BFA from Tyler School of Art and an MFA from Southern Illinois University. She currently teaches at The Ethical Culture Fieldston School in Brooklyn NY and maintains a studio at her home. Her work can be seen on her website at www.brendaquinn.com.
