Other Study Options

Affiliated Program

For previously enrolled Mudflat students who have work space at a home studio. This program allows you to make work at another location and bring it to Mudflat for firings. Affiliated students must purchase clay from Mudflat – price includes glazes and both bisque and laze firings. Cost of clay is not included in tuition. You may use the glazerooms at the studio during our Open Lab Hours. Work to be fired will be included in regularly scheduled Mudflat student firings. Tuition: $350.00

Private Lessons

Private Lessons are available for students who want the option of one-on-one teaching to further explore a particular skill. The fee is $90 per hour-long lesson which includes 25 lbs. of clay and access to the studio during Open Lab hours for the following two weeks. Private lesson requests are arranged individually. We recommend that students have prior clay experience. Call for further information.

Organize Your Own Class or Workshop!

Do you have an idea for a class or workshop at Mudflat? Kids, teens, adults, and special groups are welcome to propose a class for their specific interests and schedules. Course design, instructor, and fees are arranged individually. Please call the office for details.

Professional Development Points

Massachusetts certified teachers can receive PDPs for classes taken at Mudflat. Please call the office for more information.
